GED – PREP Program

In order to allow more people the opportunity to become VTS students, Springfield Victory Mission has developed a new residential program called GED-PREP.

• Candidates for this program must declare their intent to enter VTS Hospitality or VTS PREP upon entry and be willing to attend GED classes each weekday (a total of 17.5 hours per week).

• Participants in this program must work at least 12 hours in an assigned job duty, attend a prayer breakfast and Christian-based classes each weekday, and follow all rules. They are not allowed to work outside of the program but room/board and a small stipend is provided.

• The length of this program varies but is typically not over 4 – 6 months. Tutors are provided to assist participants in receiving the diploma in a timely manner.

• Upon completion, participants will enter the year-long school of Victory Trade School Hospitality or PREP.
